What a trip

Well, I'm finally at a computer after fighting the kids off here at the Whitefish, MT public library. It's been on and off rain for the last 20 hours which has been annoying. Jim and Monique are at the laundromat and we'll swap with them when we're done. We have a tremendous campsite at the Whitefish Lake State Park that is homebase. Started the day out right with a breakfast of eggs, potatoes o'brian, sausage, and yogurt that we cooked at a pavilion right next to the water. We're going to spend the next day in Whitefish as well to take care of other tasks, tour Glacier National Park, and prepare for the haul through Canada. I hope the rain gives us a break. We've been dealing with rain and hail (yes, hail; not fun on the knuckles) for the last week and it would be nice to have some steady sun.

It's so great to be on this trip. Even though I've been on long motorcycle trips before, my memory is not able to capture the exhilaration of being in the middle of the trip. This coutry is so huge and diverse it astounds. The random people you meet are always an adventure. Nature's untouched beauty is incomprable. If I didn't know better, I would often think I was on another planet. Till next time...
